Grooming
of Fox Terrier and the Races wire hair
We
can groom the races following : the Fox Terrier, the Airedale
Terrier...
 It
is very difficult to find somebody who knows toiletter correctly
Fox Terrier. In general, the professionals mow these dogs,
which makes disappear their colors, makes lose with the hair
its texture and creates problems of skin. Moreover, the mowed
hair is not impermeable any more.
Instructions of the grooming of the FOX TERRIER
The dress of Fox Terrier to wire hair must "be trimming"
with a knife-comb. Grooming, according to a precise model,
emphasizes its right moustache insolente and its members.
If grooming is well and regularly made, Fox Terrier (exclusively
in Wire Poil) PERT not its hairs! It does not make a moult.
Brush, comb and knife is the tools necessary to the toilet.
All the amateurs of Fox Terriers know that these dogs, the
hard hair in particular, must be toilettés to appear
with their advantage.
This toilet is composed of two principal operations: "Stripping"
and the "Trimming"
Stripping:
Depilation which is done with the comb-knife and consists
in removing with the dog the hair that it has in excess. The
mower is to be banished because it damages the hair and withdraws
under - useful hair. The use of the scissors is to be also
avoided, they would indeed leave too visible traces on the
hair.
Trimming:
This operation, which always follows Stripping, is a kind
of "sculpture" of the dress and is practised especially
for the presentation of the dog to the contests. It is a very
delicate work which requires a great experimen
