races of dogs are approved by the Federation Cynologique Internationale.
The dogs of each race have a typical specialities, character
and a behavior which make their charm and their effectiveness.
The
physical characteristics and the particular aptitudes of each
race are described with precision in an official document:
the Standard of Race. This document, emanating from the country
of origin of the dog, is the "reference". It describes
with precision the various parts of the body, the colors and
natures of dress as well as the dominant features.Associations
of race affiliated to S. C C and the stockbreeders who are
attached to it propose dogs robust, healthy, with the balanced
character and the known ascent. To support the transmission
of qualities and the characteristics of the race, to draw
aside from the reproduction the genetic carriers of defects,
to avoid excessive consanguinity, it is the object of the
selection.
The
Certificate of birth
The
salesman having registered temporarily the pup with the L
O F will receive the Certificate of Birth. This one contains
the genealogy of the dog.
The
Pedigree 
It
can be regarded as the passport of the pure pedigree dog.
One can go up up to 4 generations thanks to this document.
It is the Canine Central Company which manages and delivers
the pedigree.
It
replaces the certificate of birth and is obtained after having
presented the dog at the examination of confirmation in 12
months. At the time of this examination, a judge approved
confirmator:
- the morphological conformity of the dog to the standard
of its race examines
- the balance of its behavior evaluates
- checks its aptitude to reproduce pedigree dogs and to contribute
to the improvement of the race
According to the results, S. C C will allot or not the pédigree.
The
future pups of the dog with pedigree could be registered
with the L O F.
